Christina Cooper, MSN, FNP-C

Christina Cooper is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in general surgery with more than 22 years of experience in healthcare. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2008 from St. Petersburg College and earned her graduate degree in 2012 from University of South Alabama. She is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and maintains advanced certifications such as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), ACLS, PALS, and BLS.

 

Christina provides comprehensive surgical care, supporting patients before, during, and after their procedures. She functions as first assist for our general surgeons in the operating room and manages a wide range of conditions, including a wide range of abdominal surgeries, soft tissue masses, oncologic procedures, including breast and colon cancer, vascular access placements, and postoperative recovery. Christina also has expertise with the da Vinci surgical robotic system.

 

Additionally, she performs minor in-office procedures such as skin biopsies, excisional biopsies, cyst removals, soft tissue mass excisions, seroma aspirations, and Port-a-Cath removals. 

 

 With over two decades in healthcare, she brings both clinical expertise and a steady, reassuring presence to each patient encounter. She is especially passionate about patient education and believes that helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment plan is key to easing anxiety and promoting healing.

 

Since moving to the Lewiston area in 2022, Christina has enjoyed building meaningful connections within the community she serves. She is committed to providing thoughtful, attentive care that supports patients and their families during every stage of surgical treatment and recovery.

 

Outside of work, Christina enjoys reading, travel, camping, hiking and baking. She and her husband, who works in medical oncology, are raising their two children in the Lewiston community they are proud to call home.
