About Tommy Allen Brown Sr.
Tommy Allen Brown Sr., MD, FACS is a board-certified surgical oncologist who specializes in treating cancers of the pancreas, liver, and upper gastrointestinal tract. With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Brown is known for providing thoughtful, personalized care to patients facing complex cancer diagnoses.
Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his surgical training at Madigan Army Medical Center. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in surgical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, one of the nation’s leading cancer centers. He is board certified in general surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Throughout his career, Dr. Brown has treated a high volume of complex cancer cases using both traditional and minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic approaches when appropriate. He believes in taking the time to listen to patients, explain treatment options clearly, and partner with them in making informed decisions about their care.
In addition to his civilian practice, Dr. Brown served more than 20 years as a U.S. Army surgeon, including multiple overseas deployments. He held leadership roles as Chief of Surgery and Surgical Oncology Program Director and has trained many surgeons throughout his career.
